Many women say that there is no dignity in having a child. Yes, having a child is not only physically painful, but also psychologically stressful. It was thought that naked in the delivery room was the most embarrassing situation, but at that time, pain and tension had made you put all the embarrassment behind you. And postpartum embarrassment, let your heart once again suffer 10,000 points of injury. What embarrassment is it that kills so much?
Postpartum dysuria and defecation
After delivery, many pregnant women have difficulty in defecation or urination due to bladder nerve damage or perineal pain during delivery. In this regard, experts said that postpartum urination, defecation difficulties, part of the physiological factors, and part of the reason is that women fear pain and do not dare to go to the toilet, but generally speaking, within a week can recover.
Recruitment 1: Take the initiative to go to the toilet
Generally speaking, natural parturients should urinate 2-3 hours after delivery. In the first 1-2 days of cesarean section, a catheter will assist in urination, but after removing the catheter, they will begin to urinate about 2 hours, so they have to practise toilet by themselves.
Tip 2: Warm sitz bath for pain relief
When urinating, pain is caused by urine staining on the perineum wound. You can wash the perineum with warm water when you urinate to alleviate pain or use the common postpartum vaginal care method of “warm water sitz bath”, which can begin about 24 hours after birth. It has certain effect on alleviating the discomfort of urination and defecation.
Recruitment 3: Drug therapy
If the doctor finds that the puerpera has the phenomenon of postpartum urethral infection, such as fever and aggravated urinary pain, antibiotics will be given. If there is constipation, the doctor will also give soft stool according to the situation.
Recruitment 4: Bladder training
If the urination is not smooth, you can rest for 1 to 2 days before bladder training while still following the catheter. The training method is to clamp the catheter for 2 hours before the urine in the bladder can not be discharged, so that the puerpera can feel the feeling of dilatation, and then release the catheter to let the urine discharged, repeat this action, so that the puerpera is familiar with the feeling of dilatation.
Postpartum urinary incontinence
Don’t feel shy, many postpartum mothers will encounter this problem, especially in the process of natural production, may cause anal sphincter relaxation and pelvic floor muscle weakness, and then urinary incontinence.
1. Use health pads. When you go out at ordinary times, you must carry some pads with you in case of embarrassment.
2. Often urinate. Keep the bladder empty as far as possible. When urinating, press the bladder three times more to completely remove the urine.
3. Open your mouth when coughing or sneezing. This reduces the chance of compression to the transverse membrane.
4. Pelvic floor muscle exercises. This is a very good way to alleviate leakage of urine. After a few weeks, you can feel that your bladder control has improved.
5. Practice anal contraction. When urinating, the urine is completely drained and the muscles are contracted several times, just like stopping urination.
Postpartum mothers have difficulty in urinating and defecating, and postpartum urinary incontinence. These embarrassments are temporary. New mothers should not worry. Preventive work should be done well in advance, and relevant training should be strengthened so that the body function can be restored as soon as possible. At the same time, the new mother should keep a good mood and face difficulties with a positive attitude, and the difficulties will be solved naturally.
