Postpartum mothers with poor uterine involution will not only cause long-term uncleanness of lochia, but also cause a series of gynecological diseases, causing long-term trouble to the body. Therefore, postpartum must pay attention to the problem of uterine recovery.
But how to judge the recovery of postpartum uterus? In addition to the 42 day postpartum examination, the uterine recovery was checked by medical equipment. Before that, mothers can also come from my judgment through two very obvious indicators, so as to take measures in time.
I. self inspection: two indicators of postpartum uterine recovery
1. Decline of uterine body
Whether the uterus recovers well or not can be inferred from the decline of the uterine body.
At the end of labor, the womb contracts as if it were a deflated balloon. At this time, by touching the abdomen (near the navel), you can feel a very hard ball, which is the uterine body.
If the recovery of the uterus is good, the uterus will fall 1-2cm every day. After about 10-14 days of postpartum, it will not be palpable unless there is a fibroid.
2. Color of postpartum lochia
The color of lochia is an important index to judge whether the uterus is repaired normally or not.
Return to normal performance:
After 1-3 days of postpartum, there was more lochia, bright red color, a lot of blood, small blood clots and necrotic decidual tissue;
3-5 days after delivery, the color of lochia turned to light red, blood volume decreased, but there were more cervical mucus, leukocytes and necrotic decidua;
After 10-14 days, the color of lochia becomes more and more light, becoming light yellow, even white, still containing a large number of white cells, decidual tissue, etc.
Until 4-6 weeks postpartum, lochia discharge stops, which means the uterus basically returns to normal.
In most cases, lochia will be discharged in about 28 days after delivery, of course, there are also some cases of prolonged mother’s time, but generally not more than 42 days. If you exceed, please see a doctor in time!
Method: get
1. Massage the breast and stimulate the nipple
Stimulating the nipple will cause the human body to produce the uterine contractIn, so breast-feeding should be started as early as possible. By sucking the baby, reflex stimulation can be produced, which will speed up the recovery of the uterus. For mothers without breast feeding, the way of massaging the breast can also be used to stimulate the nipple.
2. Do not hold urine
Postpartum many mothers because of perineum wound pain or not accustomed to bed position urination, often hold, this is not conducive to the recovery of the uterus!
Because the bladder filling will affect the uterine contraction, hinder the decline of the uterus, and even cause postpartum hemorrhage or cystitis in serious cases.
Therefore, we must urinate in time after childbirth.
3. Adjust the body in time
Biochemical soup has the function of removing blood stasis and replenishing blood, which can help the lochia to be discharged in time and accelerate the contraction of uterus, so many mothers will take it. But I remind: before taking it, you must consult a doctor first.
4. Get out of bed as early as possible
No matter how serious the custom of confinement is in your area, I suggest that mothers should not stay in bed for a long time once their physical conditions permit, and try to get out of bed and move around as much as possible, which is conducive to the recovery of the body, promoting the excretion of lochia as soon as possible, and accelerating the recovery of the uterus.
5. Do not engage in physical labor prematurely
Do not stand for a long time, do not squat for a long time, especially do not lift or pull heavy objects. These are easy to cause postpartum uterine prolapse.
