Some people say caesarean section is safe, others say natural birth will be better for women. Since ancient times, there have been different opinions on what kind of delivery mode. But in fact, no matter which way of delivery, it is the most important to be suitable for yourself. Before giving birth, it is also very necessary to seriously consult the doctor’s advice.
Today, I’d like to introduce to you what caesarean section and natural birth are in people’s mouth, and what kind of pregnant women they are suitable for, for your mommy’s reference.
I. ten symptoms of pregnant women needing caesarean section
Caesarean section is to open the abdominal wall and uterus and take out the fetus. If the case is properly selected and the operation is performed in time, it can not only save the mother and child’s lives, but also enable women to maintain normal production performance and continue to reproduce offspring. Otherwise, it can not receive the expected effect and cause long-term adverse effects. Therefore, careful consideration must be given before the operation. Caesarean section is an important method of surgical midwifery.
Here is my collection of pregnant women’s adaptation to caesarean section:
1. Fetal distress
Fetal distress can occur in all stages of pregnancy, especially in the late stage and after labor. There are many reasons for fetal distress, such as umbilical cord around neck, placental dysfunction, inhalation of fetal meconium, or maternal hypertension, diabetes, preeclampsia and other complications.
Most fetal distress can be seen through the fetal monitor that the fetal heartbeat is bad, or there are adverse changes in fetal blood flow under ultrasound. If it has not been improved after emergency treatment by the doctor, cesarean section should be performed to remove the fetus quickly to prevent life-threatening.
2. Labor delay
Labor retardation refers to prolonged labor, which is clearly defined and classified in obstetrics. Usually, the time of cervical dilatation varies from person to person, but the average time of cervical dilatation of primipara is longer than that of menstrual women, which takes 14 ~ 16 hours. More than 20 hours is called labor retardation. The parturients who encounter this situation are the hardest, because the labor pains have lasted for a period of time before they have to change to cesarean section. It is equal to that both prenatal labor pains and postoperative pain must be experienced, which has been painful twice.
General labor retardation can be divided into three types according to the abnormality of delivery: prolongation of latency, prolongation of active period and stagnation of active period. Generally, the causes of labor retardation may be abnormal uterine contractile force, abnormal fetal body or fetal position or fetal orientation, abnormal maternal birth canal, etc. If there is obvious labor delay, but still reluctantly choose vaginal delivery, it may cause harm to the fetus or mother, so cesarean section must be performed.
3. Pelvic stenosis or asymmetry between fetal head and pelvis
If the pregnant woman has pelvic structural abnormalities, such as polio patients, patients with a history of pelvic fractures, patients with too small stature or dwarfism, cesarean section should be adopted because the abnormal pelvic outlet can not let the fetus pass smoothly.
The asymmetry between the fetal head and the pelvic cavity is relative, that is, even if the maternal pelvic cavity is not abnormal or narrow, but because the fetal head is too large to pass through the birth canal smoothly, cesarean section must also be carried out.
4. Incorrect fetal position
When the fetal position of primipara is not correct, cesarean section should be appropriate. Generally speaking, if the primipara has confirmed the incorrect fetal position at full term, the time of cesarean section can be arranged in advance; However, if the fetal position is not correct until after the onset of labor pain, emergency surgery may be arranged directly. However, if the breech position is not correct, and the pregnant woman has the will of vaginal production, she can still try various midwifery methods, but breech vaginal delivery still has a high risk. Therefore, it can be implemented only after discussing its advantages and disadvantages with the attending physician.
5. Multiple births
If the mother is pregnant with twins and the fetal position is normal, natural birth can be tried, but if triplets or more are pregnant, it is recommended to give priority to cesarean section.
